Contemporary Issues in Agriculture, Environmental and Rural Development

Rular development always been an importanat issue through out the world, especially for developing countries. In India, since independence there has been a concerted effort to develop rural India. The focus of planning has been to improve the economic and social conditions of the underprivileged sections of rural society. As such the economic growth with social justice became the proclaimed objective there have been changes in the development strategies or planning measures, even after 69 years of iondependence the problem of rural areas such as poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, has remained largely unsolved. This book deals with the important issues of rural development. Various authors have contributed on the different issues of rural development.Several cases studies have been done based on these issues.
